In high school I was the fat band kid (6' 255lbs) who had no motivation to exercise and only found solace in video games and food. I didn't enjoy barely being able to fit into my size 42 jeans, and by no means did I like being winded whenever I played football with friends.

After realizing I wanted to join the Marines, I was still too fat to gain a position in an officer program, so I took the dusty notes from Jem off the shelf and hit the gym/cafe hard. I lost over 50lbs from August '09-Jan '10, and attribute the initial kick to do so to Jem.

When I signed up with Jem, I didn't expect the intensity he brought to every workout session. He really pushed me to the limit up until the very last minute; he also sent me nutrition-related articles a few times a month to make sure my eating habits were up to par with my workout routines.
June 2008:Weight - 255lbs
Bodyfat - 31.4%
Pants Size - 42

May 2011:Weight - 195lbs
Bodyfat - 14.3%
Pants Size - 34

Since I have been on Jem's program, I went from 169 .Ilbs down to 158.2 lbs, thats approximately 2lbs a week of fat be gone!  My clothes are baggy now and the last time I weighed this much was back in April 2007.  Im proud of my progress and Im closer to my goal!   Someone at the coffee pot said they couldn't recognize me since the last time they saw me.

Thanks to Jem, lifting enabled me to draw a 50lb Bow and make 4 yellow bulls eyes from 60 feet. Having great stability from the chest and shoulder which counts most for accuracy in archery.  Jem has helped me gain much boon this Days.   Here the Prized Mug i won to the Prior Post for perfect 20 points last weekend at Sherwood Forest Faire.

"Jem Yeh has helped me faster with my nutrition for training than anyone I have ever dealt with. My lifts are up 25-40 lbs and I have lost 10 lbs not trying to lose weight in the last 40 days. I eat between 12 noon and 8 pm skipping breakfast. On training days I have 5 eggs and 5 pieces of bacon, 10 ounces of salmon with green beans, 12 ounce rib-eye with broccoli and rice, 2 oranges and yogurt!!"

"I'm 6'0'', 26 years old, and I have been working out since I was 14 years. My issue had usually been a struggle with putting on weight/muscle. I have always been a pretty skinny guy. I met my wife in early 2008, and weight lifting took a small step back in my list of 'things to do.' Slowly but surely, my age allowed my metabolism to slow, and the weight started to rise. I was still pretty muscular, but I had a lot of fat stores in places they had never been.
I messaged Jem when I was working hard to lose the lbs and wasn't seeing the results I wanted.
Jem didn't use the typical "bro science" That I had grown tired of hearing. He used scientific fact and his firm grasp of the human physiology to tailor a workout plan that worked perfectly for me and my unique goals.  I contacted Jem at 188lbs and I am currently holding at 172lbs. That weight goal was reached in less than a month on this program. By far the best results I have ever had, when following a diet/workout regiment."

"Jem has been helping me reach my fitness and health goals. If anyone is tired of feeling lethargic and weak, reach out to Jem. He will work with you on your own time and skill level and get you to your fitness goals. -- 2 years after ACL surgery and after 8 weeks with Jem, I will be ready to play soccer again very soon. Much appreciated Jem, I have already seen a huge change in my physique!"

"Before I met Jem, I thought that I should eat a Paleolithic diet all the time, always do high-intensity interval training, stay away from gluten, eat a minimum of five meals a day, eat all organic, and stay away from Diet Dr. Pepper. I followed every guru with a big following. I worked out like crazy but never saw my abs.

He helped me see through the hype and dispel all of the above myths. Jem took the time to patiently answer all of my questions, and I had a ton.

He has showed me that I can meet my goals relatively pain-free and still get to enjoy some of the foods that I enjoy but would be wrecked with guilt when I ate.  When it comes to nutrition, he has taught me more in the last few months than I knew through years of training. I can't wait to see where the next few months take me in terms of fitness."

Johnny here don't believe in magic pills, just plain o' eating less, eating right, and staying active.   Some self-control goes a long way!  Actually, a long way to a full marathon!

"I've had the pleasure of knowing Jem for many years and I know that he truly cares for each and every one of his clients. When it comes to weight loss, strength training, bodybuilding, and most importantly, maintaining an sustainable lifestyle that is both achievable and rewarding, Jem is one of the most dedicated trainers I have ever known.

He understands that the fitness industry can be confusing and misleading at times, so he cuts out the bullshit and gets straight to the facts. Jem will always be next to you and will make sure that you reach your goals.

Thanks to Jem's info, I no longer feel like I'm cheating if I go out to eat, get a sundae, etc. Jem shared information with me so that I finally understand what macronutrients are and that if I want to eat a cheeseburger and fries that is fine as long as I can make it fit. Once I started following Jem's plan, my body transformed in ways that I have never seen before. Guilt is no longer a part of my diet and there are no longer off limit foods.   Thanks Jem! "I recommend Jem to any and all who are seriously interested in improving their body composition. He is knowledgeable and more educated far beyond any other trainer I've met or worked with before.

His approach is highly-academic in both the "hows" and the "whys" so not only do you know what to do but why you do it. He makes himself available to his clients via various means so you have constant access. In other words, he makes fitness as straight forward and easy to follow as possible and the results happen amazingly fast.

12-weeks garnered me a total body fat loss of 5.5% and nearly 30 lbs. I managed to up my lean mass by 2.5% simultaneously. I've never had this kind of success on my own or with anyone else. If you want to reach your fitness goals, Jem can make the path clear for you to achieve it!"

Upon my first conversation with Jem, his first comment to me after explaining my regiment was: “You should only work out 3, no more than 4 days a week. You should be too sore to work out any more than that.” Well, low and behold, now under Jem’s plan, I typically struggle with that fourth workout of the week, only because I’m hurting everywhere, and it’s that good hurt too, you know, that well-earned and welcomed soreness from an awesome workout.

The one thing that Jem has bestowed upon me that I think has been most valuable is the KNOWLEDGE FROM A CREDIBLE SOURCE. Before beginning my training and nutrition plan with Jem, he provided to me a plethora of valuable information and knowledge. This information has helped me to understand what I am doing, why I am doing it, and what the results will be.

I’m no longer guessing at what will work, only to lose weeks of effort with no results to show for. Going to Jem was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  For the first time, I feel like have I have the tools and knowledge to do so, and I have Jem to thank for that.

In addition to all of this info, the constant guidance and feedback, which is literally an email or Facebook message away, has been extremely reassuring. I have questions, whether it be my form, how to manage a long trip, or anything regarding my nutrition and training, Jem has been there, and he has been there immediately.  Jem is a great guy, a great strength coach, and can offer a wealth of information to anyone that is honest about meeting their goals."

"Through Jem, I was able to learn everything there is to know about proper nutrition, training principles, and what to expect as a physique athlete preparing for my show. I use to train twice a day, 6x/week, spending hundreds of dollars a month on supplements and replacement meals/snacks, and ran everyday without any result to show for.

In 8 weeks, i was able to get into the best shape of my life with our training only consist of 3 full body workouts a week and minimal cardio work. I gained the confidence to walk across the stage with hundreds of people watching me. It was a thrill!

His knowledge and articles helped me realize the reality of training that I never did get from reading bodybuilding magazines and typical commercial trainers. I really appreciate what I've learned and progressed into the body that I love. What's more important is that I could honestly say, I've adopted a whole new lifestyle that is sustainable without yoyo'ing back to where I was before. I believe that's the best gift anyone could give for themselves.

Thank you Jem, for everything!"

and all the behind-the-scene coaching that makes all the difference :)

Think of one goal that you really, really, really, really, REALLY x infinity want to achieve – got it? Good, because here’s the ”secret” to making it happen, courtesy of my friend Julien Smith: Whatever you want is usually easier to get than you think, as long as you are willing to adapt and do what is necessary.

Success is kind of like wandering around a dark room that you’ve never been in before, being forced to stumble around until you find what you’re looking for. Oh sure, someone may occasionally turn the light on for a second or two, but rarely will you at any point be able to say with 100% certainty ”this is exactly what I need to do/where I need to go.”

Challenges are life’s way of keeping those who don’t want it bad enough out and forcing those who do to pay the cost to be the boss.
